My name is Jeroen Beekelaar, a photographer from the Netherlands. I live in a beautiful small village in the middle of Drenthe. Surrounded by the best landscapes, forests, fields and lakes Holland has to offer.
My photography journey started not that long ago but soon i didn’t leave the house without my camera. By paying attention to all the great there is to see, I try to make lasting memories for me and other people interested in them, like you!
For me it’s difficult to say what kind of photographer I am. I like nature, cities, people, animals, etc. There really isn’t a lot that i don’t wan’t to take pictures off. Please look at my portfolio and find out.

Today I heard one of my photo’s has been nominated for the Sony World Photography Awards 2019 in the category “Natural World & Wildlife”
I was really in shock when I heard one of MY photographs was nominated for the SWPA 2019.
It’s such a great honor when people like your photographs so much that they will feature them or nominate them for something but who would have thought I could make it to the shortlist of one of the greatest Photography Awards in the world!!! I still can’t believe it.
I feel like a total amateur compare to the beautiful photographs I’ve seen on the shortlists as well, but still…… It’s AMAZING. Thanks Sony World Photography Awards!!!!
